How Many Belarusians Have Taken Loans In Polish Banks

The figure is impressive.

According to the Credit Information Bureau, at the end of June there were 24 thousand Belarusians in Poland who took loans in local banks.

Their liabilities amounted to 4.2 billion zlotys or about $1 billion, the portal Puls Biznesu with reference to the Bureau of Credit Information.

In total, as reported by this structure, 265 thousand foreign citizens (mainly Ukrainians and Belarusians) received in Polish banks 25.7 billion zlotys, of which 21 billion (82% of all liabilities) were mortgages. 14% are consumer loans, and another 4% are credit cards, installments, non-bank loans, etc.

Foreign borrowers account for 8% of the loan portfolio of Polish banks.
