Israel claimed the destruction of "25 terror towers" in Gaza and issued new threats to Hamas if the militants do not lay down their arms and release hostages.

Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz wrote this on the X.

"Yesterday, with the start of the ground operation and the transfer of command to divisional commanders on the ground, 25 terror towers were destroyed in Gaza! This is a huge and significant number," Katz wrote and posted a photo of one of the destroyed buildings.

He also added that to eliminate any sniper threat, "the terrorists have been neutralized" and their infrastructure destroyed.

"Gaza residents have been ordered to move south for their safety," the official added.

The Israeli Defense Minister said: if the militants do not release the hostages and lay down their weapons, "Gaza will be destroyed and turned into a monument to Hamas' rapists and murderers."
