Ukrainian Drones Have Driven Up Gasoline Prices In Russian Federation To New Historical Records

And that may be far from the limit.
Exchange prices for gasoline in Russia against the background of Ukrainian drone attacks continued to grow, and the cost of Ai-92 fuel updated the historical maximum, reports Moscow Times.
At the end of September 16, the cost of Ai-92 gasoline on the St. Petersburg Mercantile Exchange, rose by almost 2% to 73,144 rubles per ton, updating the historical maximum. The publication notes that since the beginning of 2025, the price of Ai-92 gasoline has risen by 43%.
The cost of Ai-95 added 0.9% over the past day and reached 79,410 rubles per ton, but remained below the historical maximum - 82382 rubles per ton.
But this may not be the limit for the cost of fuel in Russia. According to a source of the Russian edition of "Kommersant", gasoline with delivery by gasoline tankers in small wholesale already costs 90-100 thousand rubles per ton. That is, taking into account the current exchange rate of the ruble to the European currency, the wholesale cost of fuel exceeds a thousand euros per ton.
The source said that such an excess over the exchange prices is caused by the regional shortage of fuel and long shipping terms for transactions on the exchange.
It is noted that a similar situation has developed with diesel fuel, which, in turn, will sooner or later lead to an increase in the price tags for this type of fuel at Russian gas stations.
