The hearth is in a military aircraft parking lot.

There was a fire at the military airfield "Morozovsk" in the Rostov region of Russia. This was reported by Telegram channel "Krymsky Wind".

According to "Krymsky Wind", the hearth of the fire was fixed at the parking lot of military aircraft and at the location of the engineering battalion. The cause of the fire is not yet known, but it is not ruled out that it is the result of a drone attack.

The matter is that on September 16, drones struck military facilities in Russia's Rostov region. Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar confirmed in his Telegram channel that the region was subjected to an aerial attack. But he claims that Russian air defenses allegedly successfully repelled the air attack by destroying and intercepting the UAVs.

The 559th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Russian Army is stationed at the Morozovsk military airfield. It includes Su-34 frontline bombers and Su-30/35 fighters.

It should be noted that the AFU has previously carried out air strikes on the Morozovsk airfield several times, including in 2024 and 2025. For example, this airfield was struck on August 5, resulting in the destruction of several ammunition depots, including FAB-500M62 guided aerial bombs and RVV R-27 missiles. Satellite imagery confirmed the complete destruction of one depot.
