Contingents from six countries took part in the military maneuvers.

In addition to the armed forces of Russia and Belarus, contingents from six countries also took part in the Zapad-2025 military exercise, the Defense Ministry said.

Task forces and military contingents from the armed forces of Bangladesh, India and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Burkina Faso, Congo and Mali took part in the joint actions.

Vladimir Putin thanked representatives of foreign states and noted that the exercise helped establish a high level of trust between all participating countries. "I hope it was useful from a professional point of view," he added.

Russian-Belarusian exercises Zapad-2025 were held on September 12-16 in Russia and Belarus. They are held annually on the territories of both countries.
