A large number of security personnel arrived at the scene.
On the morning of September 16, a series of explosions occurred near Shchitovaya Bay near Vladivostok, after which a large number of special services officers arrived on the scene, vladivostok1.ru reports. According to the publication, representatives of the traffic police and the FSB began stopping almost all cars to check documents. The Primorsky Krai government, citing the region's anti-terrorist commission, said that the "series of claps" was related to "the use of gas equipment."
"The area of the incident was cordoned off, traffic was partially blocked. There were no casualties as a result of the incident, minor damage was caused to vehicles. At present, there is no threat to the safety of the population," the government said. At the same time, one of the local residents told "VCHK-OGPU" that the military who arrived at the scene explained the explosions by the ongoing exercises. According to knowledgeable sources of the telegram channel, the emergency occurred at a military facility, which is located at a distance from the water. On public maps it is called a "warehouse", but we may be talking about military unit 40159, "VChK-OGPU" found out. Immediately after the incident, special services began to search for saboteurs. For this purpose, an Mi-8 helicopter was taken into the sky.
In May this year, a similar incident occurred in the area of Desantnaya Bay near Vladivostok, where military equipment is loaded and unloaded onto ships. Then two explosions occurred, after which the scene was promptly cordoned off by special services. The government of Primorsky Krai said that "representatives of specialized agencies eliminated the consequences of the incident" and "neutralized" the threat, without specifying what it was and what caused the explosions. At the same time, law enforcers also blocked traffic between Shamora Bay and the Shchitovaya settlement, checking drivers' documents and inspecting cars.
The Washington Post (WaPo) sources reported earlier that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was planning operations against Russia's Pacific Fleet, in particular, it was going to send marine drones to the Far East to attack Russian ships. Before that, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to force the Russian fleet to leave its base in Crimea with the help of drones.
