Poland's President Urged NATO To Do Everything To Be Ready For War

Because that's the only thing that will give us peace.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki has called on NATO to do everything to "be ready for war."

"We must do everything to be ready for war. Because only that will give us peace," he said in an interview with the German tabloid Bild.

Nawrocki said he has no doubt that the Russian drone attack on Poland on Sept. 10 "was controlled directly from Moscow."

At the same time, the Polish president suggests that "there will be no more such attacks on NATO territory." He also believes the Alliance "will be better prepared."

Nawrocki supports U.S. President Donald Trump's demand that all NATO countries should stop importing Russian oil.

"All countries that seek peace and freedom should stop subsidizing the Russian Federation. Doing business with Russia only encourages Moscow. And then what happened in Ukraine can happen," the Polish president explained.

He emphasized that only sanctions and Trump can put pressure on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

"He (Trump - ed.) is the only leader of the free world who can negotiate like this. Europe should support him in these efforts," Navrotsky added.
