Wang Yi, head of Chinese diplomacy, will fly to Poland.

Chinese diplomatic chief Wang Yi will meet with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in Warsaw on Monday. The topic of the talks will be strategic issues: China's policy on the war in Ukraine and the future of Polish poultry exports to China. Wang Yi's visit is the first opportunity in six years for a meeting at such a diplomatic level between Poland and China, PAP reported.

According to unofficial reports, the high-level talks will also touch on the Polish-Belarusian crisis. In response to the Russian-Belarusian military exercise Zapad, Poland closed its border crossings with Belarus, affecting the logistical prospect of Chinese exports to Europe.

The Malaszewicz border crossing, which is one of the key railroad routes for the Chinese economy, also remains an important topic of discussion. Experts note that although exports through this crossing account for only a few ppm of China's global exports, it is especially important for Beijing to develop rail transportation as a more economical alternative to maritime transportation.
