"Both Pictures Are Of People Who Defeated A Dictatorship."

Two historical frames.
Belarusian photographer Sergei Gudilin compared a photo of Belarusian opposition leader Nikolai Statkevich protesting at the border with Lithuania to the famous shot from Tiananmen Square.
The second photo shows the Unknown Rebel, the man who single-handedly held off a tank column the day after the unrest in downtown Beijing ended on June 5, 1989.
"Both photos show people who defeated the dictatorship because they were never afraid of it," commented the photo to Charter97.org Natalya Radina, editor-in-chief of Charter97.org.
We would like to remind you that for the fourth day nothing is known about the fate of opposition politician Nikolai Statkevich. The political prisoner refused to leave Belarus during the forced deportation to Lithuania. At the border, he broke down the doors of the bus, carrying prisoners, and fled into the territory of Belarus.
