Lithuania told about the current situation on the border with Belarus against the background of the joint military exercises "West-2025" with Russia.

Border guards say that now the situation on the border with Belarus is stable, no provocations have been recorded.
"The situation on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border has not changed. I can say that it is stable. Our officers have not recorded any activity on the Belarusian side of the border. The situation on the border with Kaliningrad also remains calm," said the head of the State Border Guard Service Rustamas Ljubajevas.
He said the officers of the State Border Guard Service have not reported any additional activity on the Lithuanian border.
"No provocations have been recorded so far," General Ljubajevas said on Saturday shortly after noon.
The chairman of the State Border Guard Service also informed that no increase in traffic has been recorded on the Lithuanian border after Poland temporarily closed the border with Belarus.
The joint Russian-Belarusian military exercise Zapad began Friday morning. According to the Lithuanian Armed Forces, about 30,000 servicemen are taking part in the exercises.
