The United States is ready to impose "serious" sanctions against Russia on condition that all NATO countries stop buying Russian oil.

This was reported by "RBC-Ukraine" with reference to US President Donald Trump's page on Truth Social.

"I am ready to impose serious sanctions against Russia when all NATO countries start doing the same thing, and when all NATO countries stop buying oil from Russia," Trump said.

He said that NATO's commitment to win was not 100% fulfilled, and that the purchase of Russian oil by some members of the Alliance is a shocking fact, because it significantly weakens the negotiating position and bargaining power against Russia.

"NATO should impose tariffs of 50% to 100% on China, which can be completely removed once Russia's war against Ukraine is over," the US president added.

He emphasized that this move should help in ending the war, as China has strong control and even influence over Russia.

"If NATO does as I say, the war will end quickly and all lives will be saved. If not, you're just wasting my time and the time, energy and money of the United States," Trump concluded.
