New data on the consequences of the drone attack on the Russian port of Primorsk.

New data has emerged on the results of the SBU attack on the port in the Russian Primorsk. As a result of the work of Ukrainian soldiers there were hit two tankers of the "shadow fleet" of the Russian Federation.

A pumping station was also hit, the scale of damage is being established, and the port has stopped work. About it writes Reuters.

What is known

The fact that the SBU struck the oil port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea became known on September 12. On the same day, reports of damage to at least several berths and one tanker appeared online.

But according to Reuters, a total of two Russian tankers - Kusto and Cai Yun - were hit at once: both were damaged. These vessels belong to Russia's "shadow fleet" and fly the flag of the Seychelles.

The publication's sources claim that after the SBU drone strike, Russia's largest oil product export port in the Baltic Sea suspended operations. The extent of damage to the pumping station, which was also hit, is currently unknown.

Experts have estimated that Primorsk's daily turnover reaches $100 million. Therefore, even if the port shutdown is short-term, Russia will inevitably suffer huge economic losses.
