Zelensky Met With Kellogg In Kiev

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has held a meeting with US Presidential Special Envoy Keith Kellogg, who is on a visit to Kiev. The parties, in particular, discussed the purchase of Patriot for Ukraine.

According to Zelensky, he and Kellogg discussed different vectors of cooperation to achieve real peace and guarantee Ukraine's security.

In particular, the sides raised the issue of separate projects within the PURL (purchase of American weapons at the expense of European countries) initiative to finance and purchase Patriot air defense systems, as well as strong bilateral agreements on common production of drones and weapons. The President expressed hope for a positive U.S. response to such initiatives.

Separately discussed were the pressure on the Russians and steps that can be taken in tariff and sanctions policy to hold a leaders' meeting as soon as possible and end the war. The trilateral format is the most effective.

Also, according to Zelensky, he discussed with Kellogg the return of Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia, international cooperation on this track and the conditions in which the children are being held.

The Ukrainian head of state expressed sympathy to the American people over the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk and thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his sympathy and reaction to the murder in the United States of Ukrainian woman Iryna Zarutska, which took place in North Carolina.

"It is important that justice be done in the United States," Zelensky said. On his way to Ukraine, he was scheduled to visit Poland on behalf of US President Donald Trump. According to CNN, as Kellogg was heading to Poland, the country was attacked by Russian drones.
