The foreign ministers of the Lublin Triangle warn of the threat of escalation and information attacks from the Russian Federation.

The foreign ministers of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, members of the Lublin Triangle format, released a joint statement in connection with the recent infiltration of Russian drones into the territory of Poland.

The statement was released on September 11 on the official website of the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and the Lublin Triangle countries.

The diplomats stressed that the incident was "a deliberate and coordinated strike, which is an unprecedented provocation and escalation of tension." They noted that Russia's actions and Belarus' connivance with the use of its airspace "pose a direct threat to the security of all countries in the region."

The ministers emphasized that only a joint and coordinated response can ensure the safety of citizens and prevent new provocations.

"We note and appreciate Ukraine's readiness to share all available intelligence and operational information with Poland, Lithuania and other partners to build an effective early warning system and defense against Russian missile and drone attacks," the statement said.

"We emphasize the need for better coordination and operational cooperation between our two countries," the statement said Such coordinated actions should be aimed at preventing the negative consequences of Russia's outrageous actions and, ideally, contribute to increasing the effectiveness of our air defense measures," the ministers said, stressing that only an adequate and decisive response can prevent further escalation.

The statement placed special emphasis on the threat of Russian disinformation. The ministers noted that the incident was accompanied by a "surge of Russian insidious information campaigns" aimed at undermining confidence and destabilizing the situation. Disinformation aimed at dividing neighboring nations continues to gain momentum.

"We call on all our societies to remain vigilant and aware of insidious Russian attempts at disinformation," the diplomats stressed.

The statement demonstrates the strategic importance of joint actions in the region, Ukraine's readiness to share intelligence information and the critical role of cooperation with NATO and the EU in countering Russian security threats and information aggression.
