A Russian drone hit the house of Polish pensioner Tomasz Wesolowski in the village of Wyrzyki Wola while he and his wife were watching news about drones flying into the country. The owners of the damaged building told a journalist from the Reuters news agency.
- I turned on the TV and all the news was about these massive drone flights, and after a while I heard that an airplane was flying over us ... and suddenly something bang, light fell from the ceiling into the living room on the first floor," Wesolowski said.
The man, along with his wife Alicia, ran out into the yard and saw that "the whole roof was in shreds, everything was destroyed. The owners of the house were not hurt.
The incident occurred around 06.30 local time (07.30 Minsk time). The drone hit the upper floor, while the Wesolowski's were on the lower floor.
It was not only the roof, but also the bedroom that was damaged, with debris scattered all over the garden.
