Trump Pledged To Find Anyone Involved In Charlie Kirk's Murder

The US president announced a broader plan to combat political violence.
US President Donald Trump is upset over the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, promises to find and punish everyone involved in the crime.
According to CNN.
In a four-minute video message from the Oval Office, the president said he was "filled with grief and anger over the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk on a college campus in Utah."
"Charlie was an inspiration to millions, and tonight everyone who knew and loved him is united in shock and horror," the White House chief said.
Trump remarked on his close ties to Kirk, who became a close political ally and personal friend of the Trump family.
"This is a dark moment for America," the president added, describing the efforts of an activist who traveled the country and engaged in "bona fide debate."
Trump also said Kirk was a "martyr for truth and freedom" and called for prayers for the family of the deceased.
The president linked the activist's death to his own injury in the July 2024 Butler shooting, as well as other high-profile cases of violence.
In particular, the leader recalled the shooting of a United Healthcare exec in New York City in December and the 2017 assassination attempt on House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, emphasizing the "political violence of the radical left."
The president said Americans and the media should "face the fact that violence and murder are a tragic consequence of demonizing those with whom you disagree."
Trump promised further action, announcing a broader plan to combat political violence.
"My administration will find everyone involved in this crime and other instances of political violence, including the organizations that fund and support it, as well as those who target our judges, law enforcement officers and all others who keep our country in order," the White House chief said.
