The price for Moscow will be raised.
The European Union has condemned the deliberate violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones and pledged to more actively support Ukraine.
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas has announced this.
The European diplomacy chief called the drone attack an aggressive and reckless act and part of a serious escalation by Russia, as well as a threat to the security of EU citizens, regional stability and international peace.
She noted that this serious violation of European airspace "only strengthens our resolve to support Ukraine and its people in defending themselves against Russia, and in pursuit of a comprehensive, just and lasting peace."
"We will further raise the price for Moscow by significantly strengthening sanctions against Russia and its allies. We will also work with international partners to put pressure on Russia to end this war," Callas said in a statement.
She added that the EU expresses full solidarity with the Republic of Poland, continues to provide it with the necessary support to protect its eastern border and is in constant close contact with the Polish authorities.
