The university previously reported that the suspect was in custody.
The attempted assassination of Charlie Kirk
On Sept. 10, Charlie Kirk was participating in a debate at Utah Valley University and directly during his speech, he was shot. The wounded activist was hospitalized and people were escorted off the campus.
Unofficial information suggests the gunman made the attempt from a nearby building 20 minutes after Kirk's speech began.
The media reported both the activist's death and that he was alive and in serious condition.
