The Alliance will defend every inch of its territory.
The violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones was "absolutely reckless."
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte was quoted by Reuters.
"Regardless of whether it was intentional, it's absolutely reckless, it's absolutely dangerous. But the full assessment is still ongoing. My message to Putin is clear. Stop the war in Ukraine. Stop violating allied airspace. And know that we are ready, that we are vigilant and that we will defend every inch of NATO territory," he stressed.
He said that such an incident showed a very successful NATO response.
Reminder, on the night of September 10, about 19 drones flew into Polish airspace. The drones that could pose a threat were shot down.
