The death of political prisoner Andrii Podnebenny became known on September 8. His body was found hanged in the punishment isolator of Mahiliou penal colony No. 15, according to his mother Valentina Podnebennaya in the social network "Odnoklassniki".

"Andrei managed to hang himself with incomprehensible things in the punishment isolator of the colony 'пятнашки'," the woman wrote.

In another post, she speculated: "For some reason I thought he was hanged because of a tin can worth 4,000 u.c.". Probably, she was referring to the burned car, which was imputed to her son.

Andrei Podnebny died on September 3 in colony No. 15 in Mahiliou. At the time of his death he was 36 years old.
