Poland Closes The Border With Belarus: What Is Happening Now

  • 10.09.2025, 9:45

The closure information will be officially confirmed today.

The situation on the Belarusian-Polish border remains tense. According to the CPC, the queue to leave Belarus for this country is about 1.3 thousand cars and three buses - this is the data as of 8:00 a.m. on September 10.

Yesterday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Poland would close the border with Belarus. The information was also confirmed by the head of the Polish Interior Ministry Marcin Kerwiński, noting that it's a temporary measure. However, there is no specific date for the resumption of border crossings - they will work again, when the Polish authorities are convinced of safety. "Border crossings will be opened only when we will be 100% sure that the situation for Poland, for Polish citizens does not pose any threat," - commented the head of the Polish Interior Ministry.

Today the information about the closure of the borders will be officially confirmed - the relevant decree will be published.

In the meantime, carriers began to massively put on pause flights to Poland: cancellations from today.
