A fire broke out.
On the night of August 7, the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation was attacked by unknown drones. In particular, the drones flew at two railway stations.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the region's governor Andrey Bocharov in Telegram.
In his report, he claims that air defense forces allegedly repelled the drone attack and there were no casualties. However, it was not without damage, as two railway stations were under attack.
"At Surovikino railway station there was a fire in the administrative building, which is being promptly eliminated by fire departments. At the Maxim Gorky railway station, sappers are currently working with the wreckage of the liquidated UAV - there is no damage to the facilities," Bocharov said.
He also added that the movement of railway transport is carried out ostensibly in a normal mode.
The reports of the attack by unknown drones started appearing at around 01:30. The channels later clarified that the attack started around 1:00 a.m.
The sounds of drones were initially heard, followed by about 10 explosions. Then, after allegedly "falling debris" from one of the drones, a fire broke out near the railroad station in Surovikino. In parallel, footage of the fire appeared in social networks.
