Argentine President Was Fleeing: Video Of Mob Attack On His Car Has Emerged

Argentine President Javier Milay was evacuated from a campaign event after protesters threw stones at his car.

The incident occurred on August 27, 2025, while campaigning ahead of parliamentary elections on September 7.
Miley was in a car with his sister Karina, minister José Luis Espert and other candidates from the La Libertad Avanza party. During the attack, the president bent over to avoid objects and was quickly evacuated in a black minibus
According to presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni, none of the guards or members of the delegation were injured.
The attack was probably organized by Peronistas, opposition activists who threw stones, branches and eggs at the vehicle. Two people were detained as a result of the incident. One was remanded in custody for assaulting an official, but the other was released.
The attack comes amid a corruption scandal involving the president's sister, Karina Mealey.
The authorities accuse her of taking bribes from pharmaceutical companies through the National Agency for Disability Issues (ANDIS). The president strongly denies the allegations, calling them lies, and promises to bring those responsible to justice.
