There Was A New Earthquake In Russia

A powerful earthquake occurred in the Caspian Sea. The strongest tremors were felt by residents of Dagestan and neighboring regions.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Russian publics.

The earthquake occurred around 23:30. The tremors were felt by residents of Makhachkala, Derbent, Kaspiysk and Khasavyurt, they were also felt in Chechnya, Astrakhan, Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, Aktau and Azerbaijan.

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Caspian Sea 28 km east of the city of Izberbash at a depth of 10 km.

At least a thousand residents of Makhachkala took to the streets for fear of repeated aftershocks, Telegram channel SHOT reported.

There is no information on damage and casualties at the moment. Local authorities and rescue services are checking the situation.
