On the evening of August 24, Ukraine's Independence Day, Russian television broadcast a video clip with real losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine and other "achievements" of the so-called "SWO."

According to the sources, local cyber guerrillas managed to hack into Russia's ISP "No. 3" and broadcast "unauthorized" video simultaneously on 116 TV channels.

In addition, the cyber-activists blocked administrators' access to servers to make it harder to interrupt the broadcast.

As a result, at least 50,000 subscribers from Moscow and other regions of Russia watched Russian oil refineries explode and military burials on their own prime-time TV screens for more than three hours.

For users who do not have digital television, the broadcast was available through Apple Store apps, Google Play, Smart TV and other cable networks.

Sources in the GUR said such cyberattacks allow them to convey to Russians the truth about the war, which differs from the Kremlin's official propaganda.
