The Belarusian regime will help rebuild the air defense system.

Lukashenko met with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian in Minsk. Formally, the talks, which took place on August 20, concerned trade, investment, industrial projects and cooperation in science and education, as well as coordination in multilateral organizations - from the EAEU and the SCO to BRICS and the UN.

The actual agenda differed from official statements, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine reports:

- For Tehran, the key issue was the possibility of restoring air defense systems and electronic warfare equipment, which had been seriously damaged in the past year. Belarus, unlike Russia, is less restricted by sanctions in the military-technical sphere and can become a channel for the restoration of Iran's defense capacities.

In addition, Tehran is interested in solving the acute shortage of agricultural equipment. For Minsk, this means the prospect of participation in projects that go far beyond the officially announced topics. Iran plans to use Belarus as another channel for access to goods under sanctions.
