European Commissioner Andrius Kubilius has mocked Russian dictator Vladimir Putin following statements made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Kubilius suggested that Putin is not the real ruler of Russia, but Lavrov's puppet.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Kubilius' post on X.

"Who is the real master in the Kremlin: Putin or Lavrov? How can anyone negotiate anything with Putin if, after Putin and Trump met, Lavrov publicly denies everything Putin promised Trump in a bilateral meeting? Perhaps Putin is not the real boss in the Kremlin?", the European Commissioner wrote about the Russian foreign minister's statements.

Reminder, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said earlier that Ukraine's security guarantees should be provided "on an equal basis" by countries such as China, the United States, Britain and France. However, according to the Russian Foreign Minister, without Russia's participation, this is "a road to nowhere".
