Istanbul will be a platform for further negotiations?

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a telephone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Among the key topics are the summit in Alaska, as well as negotiations in Istanbul.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Kremlin press service.

It is noted that during the conversation the leaders discussed the latest development of the situation around the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. In particular, Putin expressed his assessment of the US-Russian meeting held in Anchorage.

Putin also allegedly thanked Turkey for its assistance in holding talks between representatives of Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul.

In addition, the conversation touched upon some bilateral issues, including further development of trade and investment ties.
