What does that tell you?

Another Russian unique "Doomsday" combat vehicle based on the T-80 Ladoga tank has appeared in the combat zone in Ukraine.

I recall that the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed such a vehicle, designed to transport commanders in a nuclear war, in March 2024.

This promising highly protected vehicle was developed by the Leningrad Kirov Plant, for which a special design division, KB-A, was even created in 1982.

This vehicle has a sealed crew compartment and anti-radiation protection, engine-transmission and filter-ventilation units, a set of information, specialized communications equipment and a unit for regeneration of air exhausted in the crew compartment.

The crew of the vehicle is 2 people, and the crew compartment can accommodate 4 people. The machine was equipped with GTD-1000TF or GTD-1250 engine with 1100 or 1250 horses, respectively.

The machine itself showed itself perfectly during the liquidation of the Chernobyl disaster. But, after the collapse of the USSR, it was not interesting to anyone and went "to rest". In total 4 Ladoga VTS were produced, and the only operable one was presented in the exposition of the exhibition center "Patriot" in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky (Rostov region).

It seems that after the only operable copy was destroyed, the Russian occupation troops still, a year and a half later, rebuilt another one and now it is waiting for its fpv-drone, or TM-62.

But, all this once again indicates how acute is the shortage of combat armored vehicles of the enemy in the fourth year of full-scale war against Ukraine, that they go to the extent of sending to the front so unique armored vehicles restored from storage.
