Not far from the Ukrainian border.

On Wednesday night, an unknown object fell on a cornfield in the village of Osiny in Poland's Lublin voivodeship, which then exploded.

This, as "European Pravda" writes, RMF FM reports.

Marchin Juzwik from the Lukowski district police department (Lublin voivodeship) said that after 2 a.m. police officers received a report of an "explosion" in the village of Osiny in the Lukowski district.

"In a cornfield they found burnt elements of different sizes scattered in a radius of several dozen meters. These are burnt metal and plastic debris," the officer specified.

"What this unidentified object is, the relevant services are establishing. Police officers are working at the scene, we are checking the area," the policeman added.

Nobody was injured in the incident, but windows in three nearby houses were broken.

The Ministry of Defense is already aware of the incident, as ministry spokesman Janusz Seimei told RMF FM.

According to Łuków.TV, citing the findings of its journalists, "the situation at the scene is very serious." A crater has formed at the site where the unidentified object fell, and an object resembling a propeller was found among the debris.

The footage published by the portal shows a bright flash in the night sky, and a moment later a loud explosion is heard. "I was awakened by a strong explosion that made the panes in the windows shake. I looked out into the street but saw nothing. Only in the morning I noticed the headlights of police cars," said one of the residents.

Łuków.TV reports that in addition to the police, firefighters were also working at the scene to help secure the area. The services are now awaiting the arrival of the military.

It's worth noting that Poland raised its air force again because of the Russian combined attack on Ukraine on Tuesday night.
