Romania Will Contribute To Providing Credible Security Guarantees For Ukraine

Romania intends to contribute to the provision of reliable security guarantees for Ukraine.

RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to Romanian President Nicusor Dan in the social network X.

Nicusor Dan said during a video conference between the "Coalition of the Willing" and the European Council that Romania will contribute to the provision of reliable security guarantees for Ukraine, which will be realized through close cooperation between Europe and the United States. In his view, this is an investment in the security of all of Europe, not just Ukraine.

The Romanian president also said that US President Donald Trump's participation in the peace agreement on Ukraine is essential and Europe's role is just as critical.

"Transatlantic coordination remains our strongest advantage in deterring Russian aggression," he said.

Nicusor Dan is convinced that sanctions against Russia should remain in place and be strengthened until peace is achieved.

"A peaceful Ukraine also strengthens Romania's security and benefits our neighbor, the Republic of Moldova," he said.

Also, according to the head of state, Romania will continue to support efforts to strive for Ukraine to return all abducted children.
