Budanov told how many assassination attempts he had survived since the beginning of the war.

The head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, has survived at least 10 attempts on his life. But there could have been more, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing Budanov in an interview with Natalia Moseychuk.

The military intelligence chief said he did not know the exact number of attempts on his life, but there were at least a dozen.

"Honestly? I don't even know. That's such a truthful answer. I don't know the exact number. More than ten for sure. Frankly speaking, I think about twenty," the head of the GUR of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said.

Attempts on Budanov

The GUR reported earlier that Kirill Budanov has survived more than 10 attempts on his life since the beginning of the full-scale war.

In the fall of 2023, the wife of the head of the GUR Marianna Budanov was poisoned with heavy metals.
