US President Donald Trump made a statement about Ukraine, noting that the country will "get a lot of land."

This was reported by "RBC-Ukraine" with reference to Trump's statement.

Trump previously suggested that a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine may require "some exchange of territories."

At the same time, he said that Ukraine would return some of its territories.

The media wrote that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin allegedly wants Ukraine to completely withdraw its troops from Donetsk and Lugansk regions in exchange for freezing front lines in Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.

The Territories Issue

Earlier, Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Whitkoff said that Russia allegedly made concessions to Ukraine on five regions. However, there were no specifics in his words, and he was confused when asked by journalists.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stressed in Brussels on August 17 that any territorial issues should be discussed only during a trilateral meeting of leaders. Moscow is now showing no signs of readiness for such a format.
