Details Of Security Guarantees For Ukraine After Washington Meeting Revealed

Security guarantees from Western partners for Ukraine will be formalized within seven to ten working days.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this during a briefing in Washington.
The Ukrainian head of state suggested that the security guarantees will be expanded by Ukraine's partners, and there will be more and more details as "it will all be formalized on paper in the next week or 10 days."
Zelensky also specified several points of the future agreement on security guarantees.
The Ukrainian president noted that the first part of the guarantees will concern the financing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"Our army consists of our troops, salaries. And here is the challenge, you can't lose your army, you can't have the army reduced in times because you don't have funding. And we will not have such funding, physically will not be, in our budget, and we need additional finances", - said Zelensky
He also stated his intention to find the necessary funds, and emphasized that for this our European partners must have an understanding "that we need to find a source of funding for this for some period of time, quite a long time, so that it would be part of the security guarantees".
U.S. military aid
The second part of the security guarantees, Zelensky called the provision of a military aid package by the United States.
"There is indeed a package with our proposals for 90 billion dollars. It primarily includes airplanes, air defense systems, etc.," the Ukrainian president said.
Drone production
The third part of the agreement on security guarantees, the head of state called Ukraine's production of its own drones.
"We have an agreement with the president of the United States that when our exports open, they will buy Ukrainian drones. This will finance our domestic production of drones, our companies will have money to increase production," Zelensky said.
He added that the second part of this part of the agreement is what partners will be able to do for us, how security guarantees will work and what forces will work to defend Ukraine in case of repeated aggression.
