US President Donald Trump expects a meeting between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin to take place as early as this month.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a post by Axios journalist Barak Ravid on social network X.

"A source with knowledge of the situation said that there is hope to hold a meeting between Putin and Zelensky before the end of August," he wrote.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that a meeting between Putin and Zelensky should take place within the next two weeks. He added that the location of the meeting has yet to be agreed.
