Trump Said Zelensky Could "end The War Almost Immediately"

The U.S. president hinted at what Putin wants.

US President Donald Trump said Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky could end the war "almost immediately" if Kiev refuses to return Crimea and join NATO.

"Ukrainian President Zelensky can end the war with Russia almost immediately if he wants to, or he can keep fighting. Remember how it started. No return of Crimea given by [former U.S. President Barack] Obama (12 years ago without firing a shot!) - and no Ukraine joining NATO. Some things never change," Trump wrote in Truth Social.

The White House chief's post came ahead of meetings with Zelensky as well as European leaders scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., on August 18.
