US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that Ukraine and Russia must make concessions to reach a peace agreement. He said this on NBS News.

He said the only way to reach an agreement is for each side to get something and each side to give something.

At the same time, Rubio assured that the US is working to create security guarantees for Ukraine in the future, so Russia should understand this demand of Kiev.

The politician also stressed that the US does not recognize itself as a participant in the conflict in Ukraine.

He said that the best result of a solution to the Russian-Ukrainian war for the US would be a full-fledged peace treaty, not a temporary ceasefire.
