Legendary Hockey Player Named The Conditions Under Which He Will Play With The Russians

Former Czech goalie for NHL clubs Dominik Hašek told how the war in Ukraine should end.

On his X page, the 1998 Olympic champion shared his response to a question he was asked by Russian journalist RIA News Sport. Hasek was asked if he would play, if invited, in a matchup between the former NHL and Russian KHL stars, which Donald Trump and Putin allegedly agreed to. The Czech ex-hockey player said he was ready, naming the conditions for it.

"I would be very happy to participate in a matchup of former NHL and KHL stars at a time when the biggest criminals of the 21st century, led by Putin, will be convicted of their horrible crimes (like the Nazis at Nuremberg in 1946) that left over a million people dead and maimed, and when Ukraine will have all of its territories, including Crimea, returned. If such a match is made without these and other conditions being met (e.g. the return of tens of thousands of kidnapped children back to Ukraine, the start of war reparations, etc.), then such a match would essentially be an advertisement for Russian war. It would also be a huge endorsement to legalize horrific Russian crimes, and lead to further murder and mutilation. Just like the NHL, featuring Russian players who have not officially condemned the Russian war, is a huge advertisement for the Russian imperialist war. And the countries of the United States and Canada, unfortunately, have allowed this advertisement of murder on their territory," Gaszek wrote.

It should be noted that Dominik has been actively supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and calling for the suspension of Russian athletes from all international competitions.
