European Commission Vice-president Calls Urgent Meeting Of Foreign Ministers Over Ukraine Situation

European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas is convening a meeting of European foreign ministers. This was reported on August 10 by Reuters.
The urgent meeting will take place on August 11. It will discuss the next steps in the context of an agreement on peace in Ukraine.
Callas said any agreement between the US and Russian Federation to stop the war in Ukraine must take into account the position of Kiev and the EU. She believes this is a security issue for the whole of Europe.
The EU vice-president emphasized that all the lands temporarily occupied by the Russians belong to Ukraine, and the agreement should not become a springboard for further aggression by Russia, including against NATO and Europe.
Media reports say that the foreign ministers will also discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip.
