Ukrainians will not allow a second attempt to partition the country.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has spoken about the Kremlin's attempt to legalize the occupation of Ukrainian territories in exchange for a ceasefire.

"Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has only one card in his hand - the ability to kill - and he wants to sell the cessation of deaths as expensively as possible. He seeks to legalize the occupation of Ukrainian territories, but Ukrainians will not give Russia a second attempt to partition Ukraine," Vladimir Zelensky said during an evening video message.

The head of Ukraine recalled: when Putin was allowed to annex Crimea, it then led to the occupation of part of Donbass; when the international community failed to take preventive measures in response to the accumulation of Russian troops near Ukraine's borders, it led to a full-scale invasion and occupation of another part of Ukrainian territories.

Now Putin wants to be forgiven the occupation of Crimea, parts of Kheronshchyna and Zaporizhzhya region, demanding full control of Donbass by the occupiers. "We will not allow this second attempt to partition Ukraine by Russia," the head of state said.
