The US president revealed plans in the context of sanctions against Russia.

US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Whitkoff will visit Russia.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Trump said this while talking to journalists.

In particular, while talking to journalists, Trump said that the US will impose sanctions against Russia. However, he is not sure if they will have any effect on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Afterward, Trump revealed Whitkoff's plans, saying that he will travel to Russia after his visit to the Middle East.

"He's going to Russia, believe it or not," Trump said.
