Explosions are heard in the Russian city of Engels. The city is being attacked by attack drones, air defense is working.

It is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Russian publics.

It is noted that drones attacked the Saratov region. According to locals, one of the drones was shot down over the city of Engels.

Witnesses report active work of air defense. Explosions began to be heard over the city at about 3:50, with at least 8 in total.

There has been no official information yet. Earlier, Saratov Region Governor Busargin reported the threat of drone strikes.

"We received information from the Ministry of Defense about the threat of UAVs. Alert systems are operating locally in places of possible threat. All emergency services have been put on full alert," he said.

With the threat at the airports of Saratov, Ulyanovsk and St. Petersburg, the "Cover" plan has been introduced and flights have been suspended.
