AFU Foils Russian Assault On Zaporizhzhya

The Russians lost significant forces in a matter of hours.

Recently, the Russian army tried to storm the Orekhovskoye direction, which is in the Zaporizhzhya region. However, the occupants' plan failed.

According to RBC-Ukraine, the head of the communications department of the 118th separate mechanized brigade Dmitriy Pelykh told this on the air of a telethon.

He said that now the Russian offensive is felt along the entire line of contact. In particular, the enemy has recently launched a mechanized assault in the Orekhovsky direction.

"First, the enemy began to pressure our neighbors and recently also launched a mechanized assault on the positions of the 118th separate mechanized brigade in order to break through and enter the Malaya Tokmachka settlement," Pelykh said.

But the Russians' plan failed thanks to the work of aerial reconnaissance, which noticed this offensive in advance and further in the cooperation of all units the enemy was destroyed.

He noted that now the occupiers are coming to their senses after the defeated offensive.

"After all, it is no joke that within a few hours they lost a very significant force .... Now the enemy acts only exclusively in the dark or gray time of day," Pelykh said.
