The book's title and tentative release date have not yet been disclosed.

The 46th President of the United States Joe Biden is working on a memoir that will recount his work in the White House during his presidency. The book's title and tentative release date have not yet been disclosed.

The book will be published by Little, Brown & Co. which is part of Hachette Publishing. They acquired the rights to publish the memoir at an auction for about $10 million, writes The New York Times.

The 82-year-old Biden has been talking a lot about the upcoming book in recent months and is trying to finish it as quickly as possible, since doctors diagnosed the former president with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in March of this year. As Baden admitted at a recent event in San Diego, he's working "like mad with a publisher." The book will focus on his time as president of the United States.

Writing memoirs is standard practice for former U.S. presidents. But Biden's presidency is special because much of it came at the start of the hot phase of Russia's war against Ukraine, and as the publication notes, the memoir may give Biden a chance to change the narrative about his presidency, as well as answer questions about his mental and physical fitness that have arisen during the presidential campaign and his final year in the White House.
