Experts have figured out which of the documents is real.

In Minsk, law enforcers detained a Russian citizen with a fake passport. It turned out that the man had three more of them, and in all documents, except for one, the photos were changed, reports the State Committee of Forensic Expertise.

48-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation was detained by law enforcers "on direct suspicion of committing a crime. To confirm his identity, the man presented a passport, the authenticity of which raised questions among operatives.

Later, during a search of the suspect's home, three more Russian passports were seized, including a foreign passport. All documents of the Russian citizen were sent for examination to establish their authenticity.

The expert confirmed that all passport blanks were produced by an enterprise that produces this type of products. And the original content of the documents had not been technically altered in various ways. But the detainee replaced photo cards in three passports.

"In the passports, the original photo cards together with fragments of laminating film with perimeter frames were removed and in their place new photo cards with fragments of perimeter frames printed on their surface by inkjet printing with the subsequent addition of a new layer of laminating films were pasted," the experts said.

The only authentic document confirming the identity of the man turned out to be a seized passport. A criminal case has been opened on this fact.
