Political Analyst: Inevitable Processes Have Begun In The Kremlin

Russian elites realize the stalemate of the situation.

Donald Trump has changed his rhetoric against Russia and demands an immediate end to the war. Against this backdrop, pessimism reigns in the Kremlin, and even his entourage may turn away from Vladimir Putin.

Politologist Igor Reiterovich told "Channel 24" that Russians hoped to the last that Trump's arrival would help them win. They expected the U.S. to break with NATO and the European Union, but it didn't happen.

Putin hoped so

In reality, Trump came to the NATO summit and was in a very good mood. In addition, the Alliance countries increased funding for defense budgets and started buying American weapons. They even managed to sign a trade agreement with the EU.

"Putin and company were hoping for something else. They thought that Trump would quarrel with Europe, so now he is not in the best situation," the political analyst noted.

On the front, the occupiers do have an advance, but it is given at the cost of heavy losses. Moreover, Trump claimed a million dead that Russia has lost in the war. Given all this, a pessimistic mood reigns in the Kremlin.

"For weeks now, war correspondents have been shouting with one voice that either everything must be completed or a real mobilization must be announced. At least 300,000 people must be mobilized at the same time. Without this, it will not be possible to preserve even what we have," Igor Reiterovich emphasized.

Russians are "rolling back" on the front. We see this on the example of Sumy region. After Trump's new statements, the situation may deteriorate even more. This is noticed by Russian elites, even official representatives of the government. They realize that it is Putin who is to blame for what happened.

The Kremlin did not accept Trump's proposal and now things may end much worse for Russia. How the so-called elites will react to this remains a very interesting question.

The Kremlin understands the stalemate of the situation

Putin's inner circle, in particular FSB officers, realized that things were very bad in the first weeks of the war. It became obvious then that Russia could not win. But the head of the Kremlin allowed them to take whatever they wanted inside the country.

"Now the euphoria has passed, because there is nothing left to take. There is a part of diplomats left, such as Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who want to go all the way. They believe that Russia can fight for another 10 years and get some kind of victory," the political analyst said.

But the majority still understands that it is necessary to look for a way out of the situation. It is important to end at least the active phase of the war, because all this can lead to inevitable processes that can no longer be kept under control.

For example, Putin is already afraid of Russians returning from the front, because he does not know how to socialize them. Getting them back into normal society will be a major challenge.
