  • 28.07.2025, 19:13

The two sides discussed the conflict in the Middle East and Israel's war with Iran.

Russian ruler Vladimir Putin has spoken with Binyamin Netanyahu, the Kremlin said.

They held a telephone conversation.

The two leaders discussed the situation in the Middle East. During the conversation, Putin stated the need to support Syria's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Russian ruler pointed out that the strengthening of Syria is possible "through the observance of the legitimate rights and interests of all ethno-confessional groups of the population," the Kremlin said.

The sides also discussed the conflict between Iran and Israel. Putin recalled that Russia is ready to "fully assist in finding a negotiating solution to the Iranian nuclear program."

Putin last spoke with Netanyahu in June 2025. At the same time, he spoke with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian. The conversation took place just after the conflict between the countries escalated and Putin expressed condolences to Iran for the casualties due to Israeli strikes. The Russian dictator then said Russia condemns Israel's actions that violate the UN Charter and international law.
