Temporary Acting First Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Klimovichi District Executive Committee Igor Demyanov said that before people were sent to forced labor, the police department met with them representatives of the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection, the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of Education of the District Executive Committee, the employment sector, the district hospital.

The people were told about the prevention of offenses, including alcohol intoxication. They were also reminded that "there are enough vacancies in Klimovichi district, where you can get a job".

"The main thing is desire. And it is precisely the desire that many of the invited category of people lack," said Igor Demyanov.

This way the officials are trying to influence the employment of people. Demyanov added that people without jobs who are registered with the police are "delivered" to the meetings of the commission for coordination of work to promote employment.

MAYDAY human rights activists note that in the past people were not "delivered" but were summoned by phone or summons.
