Belarusians Drink Less Vodka And Beer

Belstat has disclosed data on alcohol sales in Belarus for the first half of 2025. The site Sharter97.org analyzed the data.
Belarusians have become less likely to buy some of the most popular alcoholic beverages. However, some products show an increase in demand.
In particular, in January-June 2025, vodka sales fell to 3.969 million decaliters against 4.039 million in the same period of 2024 - a decrease of 1.7%.
A drop in demand for grape wines (-3.6%) and fruit wines (-9.8%) was also recorded. Beer sales decreased by 3.8%.
What is growing in sales
Some categories of alcohol, on the contrary, showed growth. The most significant growth was noted in the segment of cognac, cognac drinks and brandy - plus 10.9%.
In addition, sales of:
other alcoholic beverages - by 5.1%,
liqueurs and liquor products - by 2.9%,
slight alcoholic beverages - by 2.2%,
sparkling wines, including champagne - also by 2.2%.
