On the night of July 24, the Russian army massively attacked Odessa with attack UAVs. As a result, civilian infrastructure and architectural monuments were damaged. Fires broke out in the city, including the famous Privoz market.

"The enemy has launched a massive strike on Odessa with attack drones. Despite the active work of air defense, there is damage to civilian infrastructure. There are a number of fires in the city," the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper reported at 2:51 a.m. in Telegram.

At the moment it is known about the fire of two floors in a residential apartment building, the roof of a two-story building, shopping pavilions and a gas station.

According to Kiper, there is also damage to architectural monuments in the historical center of Odessa, which is under UNESCO protection.

Information about the victims is being specified.

In the morning, the State Emergency Situations Service reported that the Privoz market was on fire in Odessa.

"Odessa Privoz is not just a market, it is the real heart of Odessa region, where life is booming, you can feel the pulse of the city. There you can really recognize Odessa! Rescuers are eliminating the consequences of Russian terror and trying to save such a significant place for Odessa residents and every tourist from the fire," the message reads.
